Position Summary

We are seeking a data-driven Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) to deliver personalized fan engagement, ticketing campaigns, and retention marketing in the sports and entertainment industry. This role will drive multi-channel customer journeys and ensure seamless integration with Sales Cloud and other platforms to support event promotions, memberships, and customer loyalty initiatives.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $90,000-$145,000.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Management: Own the configuration and management of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, MobileConnect, and Contact Builder.
  • Implementation: Oversee the configuration and implementation of Marketing Cloud infrastructure components—including domains, SSL certificates, Sender Authentication Packages (SAPs), business units, and IP warming plans—for new implementations or migrations from other platforms.
  • Campaign Execution: Manage audience segmentation, campaign setup, send strategies, and A/B testing to optimize engagement for ticketing, events, and promotions.
  • Customer Journeys: Design and implement journey flows for new customer onboarding, event reminders, re-engagement campaigns, and loyalty programs using Journey Builder.
  • Integrations: Partner with Sales Cloud and Revenue Operations teams to sync data via API integrations (or Marketing Cloud Connect), ensuring a unified customer view.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze campaign performance (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and optimize based on KPIs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and marketing preference management standards.
  • Content Development: Leverage HTML/CSS, AMPscript, and Content Builder to create dynamic, personalized email and SMS templates.
  • Training & Best Practices: Train marketing teams on Marketing Cloud tools and establish best practices for campaign planning and execution.
  • Data Management: Configure and manage data extensions, segmentation, and audience targeting to ensure precise campaign delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with RevOps, Sales, and IT to align marketing strategies with revenue goals and fan engagement platforms.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
  • Expertise in Marketing Cloud modules (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, MobileConnect, Content Builder).
  • Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, AMPscript, and SQL for email templates and data queries.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and Salesforce Data Extensions.
  • Knowledge of Automation Studio and Salesforce Flow.
  • Required: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist.
  • Preferred: Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Developer, or Data Cloud Consultant.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to translate marketing needs into technical solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, relevant certifications, and demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce.
