Position Summary

The Concession Runner is responsible for supporting concession stands by ensuring timely delivery of food, beverages, and supplies during events. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations, excellent customer service, and overall guest satisfaction

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.60-$19.00 CAD and is tip eligible

About the Venue

Home to over 1 million square feet of flexible convention space and host to some of the largest convention events in North America. Enercare Centre offers 8 connected exhibit halls, ideal for trade shows, consumer shows and conventions with exhibits.

Responsibilities

  • Support concession stands by restocking food, beverage, paper goods, and supplies throughout service
  • Transport product safely and efficiently between storage areas, kitchens, and concession locations
  • Monitor inventory levels during service and proactively respond to restock needs
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning of back-of-house areas
  • Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe storage areas at all times
  • Follow all food safety, health & safety, and company operating standards
  • Communicate clearly with concession leads, supervisors, and culinary teams
  • Assist with waste removal, recycling, and cardboard breakdown during and after service
  • Help manage high-volume service periods efficiently and calmly
  • Perform additional support tasks as assigned to ensure smooth concession operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food & beverage, concessions, catering, warehouse, or event operations is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Reliable, punctual, and maintains a strong work ethic
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, early mornings, and event days
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for the role
